I was always taught A over C too, but I've always wondered something. When bonding aluminum to copper you always use an aluminum connector-one bolt, two bolt, three bolt, squeeze on, ampac, etc... Now being that connector is made of aluminum, and wrapped around the copper(A over C), does it really matter the position of the wires being the aluminum is already over the copper?
This might have already been posted but I really didn't feel like reading all of it.
I was always told that the chemical reaction will not travel upward towards the aluminum conductor if the AL is on top. But, if the CU is on the top, then the stuff will leak down all over the place no matter how much inhibitor is being used. This might have already been posted but I really didn't feel like reading all of it.
