I would complain about wearing a hard hat , But one day I almost stuck my head to close to a 13.2 KV primary line if I had not been wearing it .I would not be here now , Always remember to wear hart hat and gloves

I guess in the old days the linemen would wear a felt hat so they could feel the line above their head before they made contact, I have also heard stories of them using the hat to snuff arcs in those old box cutouts.

Do what you gotta do I guess.

yeah everytime i go up by any hot lines i wear a lid....havnt been in or out of the truck with out it.....good to put over your hoodie top and keep ur ears warm

so does my girlfriend lol but I'm so used to wearing a hat outside o just thrown on a lid everymorning now....been that way for the last 2weeks
