Take the RF spectrum used for three or four analog channels and "bond" them to get cable modem speeds (currently around 3 to 6Mbps) up to 1Gbps.

They're calling it DOCSIS 3.0, and I'm optimistic it could give friendly competition to the various telco's Fiber to the Home (FTTH) plan.

I buy and burn music from iTunes often enough, but imagine people buying and burning HD-quality DVDs in just a few minutes. :smilie_daumenpos[1]:
