Affinegy is integrating its Portal platform with Sigma Systems’ OSS platform to create a system for provisioning DOCSIS/TR-069 devices, including IPTV set-top boxes, IP video clients, and advanced data and wireless gateways, in subscribers’ homes.
The TR-069 is a relatively new protocol designed to enable service providers of all types to better manage and control customer premises equipment (CPE).
The integrated Affinegy/Sigma Systems solution further enables upgrading legacy DOCSIS 2.0 and DOCSIS 3.0 data gateways to TR-069 management through the combination of Sigma Systems’ flexible workflow management and Affinegy’s D2/D3 gateway management and its method of proxying the TR-069 management to these legacy devices.
