This has got to be the weirdest line story i ever heard. How did that deer get up there? I got this story from?
http://www.coasttoco...ower_pole/43571
This is what it says:

Deer on Power Pole

My job in the field of conservation results in hearing some strange stories and seeing some extremely strange photographs. Attached is a photo that definitely falls into the "strange" category.

The photo was taken in the Northeast section of the United States in an extremely rural area. As shown, there is a whitetail doe stuck on top of a power pole. She had apparently been up there for a moderate amount of time. I've heard broad speculation regarding the explanation for this, but no one is certain. If you notice the back hooves are clipped (almost uniformly).

There is a train track several yards away and there is a possibility that the deer was struck and tossed into the air, thus landing on the pole. However, the deer would have to have traveled in the air approximately 45 feet (across) to the pole and reach a height of approximately 22 feet (up) to reach the top of the pole. These pictures are somewhat reminiscent of the "Deer in the Tree" story that you guys recently highlighted in the Hot Stories section of the website. (Linda Moulton Howe's report)

Nah, I'll say a train moving at speed could easily launch a deer up there. I hit a deer with my car once doing about 45-50mph and it flew a good 25 foot in the air at least. Its all about speed/momentum of object A, speed/momentum of object B and angle of impact.

Imho Capm is right, blasted into reindeer pack like ten years ago with truck and those animals were flying all over the road/roadsides etc, but when managed to stop, some of them just looked like they were sleeping, but when one touched it, all internals were minced meat, including bones. Yes some of them were minced into bits as well, so its possible to hit animal with train/car and it looks intact. but its also possible to mince it to bits as well. Im pretty sure animal were already dead when it landed to pole, cause its head is hanging limp, kinda bones are shattered inside the skin. Can only imagine how scared might average people been when theyve spotted the deer first time Posted Image
