SILOAM SPRINGS — One cut shut down mobile phone and long-distance landline services in Siloam Springs for more than three hours on Tuesday.
A construction crew cut an AT&T fiber-optic wire in Fayetteville that feeds much of the wireless and long-distance services in Siloam Springs, said Natasha Collins, a spokeswoman for AT&T.
Service was restored about 5 p.m., Collins said.
The cut also caused customers of Cox Communications to lose services, from Internet to TV, for three hours, said Kelly Zega, Cox director of public affairs.
