On-call Premium
Effective with this revision of the policy, the current on-call premium pay rate is as follows.
MT $150.00 per week or $21.43 per day,
BT $125.00 per week, or$17.86 per day,
QA $62.50 per week, or $8.93 per day.
On-call duty is generally assigned for seven consecutive days
beginning at 12:30 noon Friday through 12:30 noon the following Friday. The
company maintains on-call schedules 24x7, 365 days per year including
weekends and holidays.
On-call technicians work a scheduled 12:30-9 PM shift Monday-Friday.
Saturday on-call shifts are 11:30-8:00 PM. Sunday shifts are covered as a
regular shift based on the employees start time. Start times for technicians who
are called in on a scheduled day off will be at the supervisor’s discretion.
Broadband and Network Technicians assigned to the on-call schedule are
required to respond to dispatched or supervisors call-out notifications within 15
minutes of initial notification. The on-call technician is required to respond to any
service area at any time during their scheduled on-call week. If an employee is
unable to fulfill the on-call obligation, the employee must notify the on-call
supervisor(s) and dispatch within 15 minutes of the initial notification. If the
employee fails to follow this procedure, employee may be subject to loss of on-call pay, and other disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
so I may finally get my raise

Our normal overtime is paid as follows: first 2 hours are elevated by 50% then next ones are 100% elevation
Overall it should be like this during regular weekdays mon-fri:
call back to work during regular working hours = hours after normal work time are 100% hours
call back to work after regular work hours = 2 hours pay + all hours are considered as 100% hours
call back to work after regular shift has ended 4 hours ago = 3 hours pay +all hours are 100% hours
During weekends:
call to work during 07-15:30 = 2 hours pay +all hours 100% hours
call to work after 15:30 = 3 hours pay +all hours 100%
call to work on sundays = 3 hours pay +all hours 200% (triple pay)
regular evening and night time bonus applies to all those rates, those are like +1€ for evening (18-22) and roughly +2€ for night time (22-06)
Also being on call is considered to be compensated by 50% of normal hourly wage, at all times when individual has to me "on call state", and if one is on call during sunday, he gains extra 8h of sunday compensation, which is considered to be paid day off (resting time), for working hours over 40h/week. And if individual has to go to work during the time he is at on call duty, he gets all the hours worked compensated by 100% of his regular hourly pay.
Bit offtopic:
So basically this partially explains why we have so low hourly wages, cause everything outside 07-15:30 OR 40h/week is compensated relatively well. Also when working out of town (40km from the company office/home) we get living costs compensation of 36€/day tax free and its also negotiated by union

2 hrs reg pay for every after-hours 8 hr shift we're on-call (reguardless if you work or not).
Double time for all call outs, min 2 hours (even for a clearance by phone on a locate).
Im sure we'll loose this at some point.. we negotiate with a bunch of weak inside-workers that will accept anything pretty much when it comes to contract time. Once the co chooses to go after it, they'll probably get it.

Well the fights over guys, I got the email Friday that my company is upping my on call pay. They are raising it to a WHOPPING $133 and I can't be more disappointed, especially when I know they pay their employees more (see post #69). I guess it's better than a sharp stick in the eye but just barely!!
Well I have to let it go.... These guys don't play, I'm afraid that the squeaky wheel won't get greased anymore it will just get replaced. There is no doubt I'm a squeaky wheel. If I keep this up here is where you will find me
