One pair are chain saw boots that I wear in the trees and on the ground, the two in the picture are Royer pole climbers made in Canada and both are ohm rated.

The Halls Customer Service people were really nice too. I ordered last Tuesday night, they shipped Wednesday, and I got them Thursday. They're union made, and made in PA too.
I have a skills orientation I'm going to in 1.5 weeks, and then the 80-hour pole climbing class is a month after that. So that'll be the real test

Keith - are they still comfortable enough for every day stuff too, or do you have two sets?

I have the one pair. They are still as comfortable, but they are starting to get hot. I think im gonna buy a short pair for the summer.

DEPENDS ON YOU
FOR EVERYDAY WEAR, I HAVE A PAIR OF JUSTIN LACE UP WORK BOOTS AND A PAIR OF ROCKY LACE UPS----BOTH ROPER STYLE BOOTS, AND THEN THEN I HAVE A PAIR OF ROCKY OUTBACKS AND MERRELL HIKERS, BOTH ARE LIGHT WEIGHT AND COMFORTABLE......IF I HAVE TO CLIMB TO SAY REPAIR A LIGHT (1) IN A BACK YARD, I CAN RUN UP THE POLE WITH THE JUSTINS OR ROCKY'S..BUT IF I HAVE SEVERAL TO CLIMB OR DO NOT HAVE TRUCK ACCESS WHEN WORKING TRBL OR IF I MAY BE IN THE AIR FOR A WHILE, I CHANGE AND PUT ON THE CLIMBING BOOTS..............
I AM DIABETIC, SO I NEED TO CHANGE BOOTS REGULARLY, SO I SWAP BOOTS EVERY FEW DAYS..................HELPS THE FEET

Once they are broke in, you will love them
I lucked out and had mine broke in before I started climbing
I wear them with everything, even shorts. Of course I'm a little bit strange
Glad you made it into school

Welp i decided to jump on to the June class at NLC the last minute. I called Hoffman up 3days before and got my boots the day before i left. Stiff as a heck for sure. Plenty of blisters that 1st week especially climbing with them not tightened up very much. Now they are beautiful. Ive went through 2 things on conditioner all ready.

The Wesco sales guys I keep seeing at the rodeos are very helpful and showed me how to do the custom fit procedure at the Texas Lineworkers Rodeo a few weeks ago. They are very nice boots and in my neck of the woods, they seem to be the most common I see, now that I'm paying attention.
That's my two cents....

The boot separated from the sole.
They were shipped back to the company via the shoe store where I bought them so we'll see what they do about it.
