Lineman Forum: Speaker phone reception amplilfier - Lineman Forum

I have an issue within my company that I am not quite sure how to solve.

Let me first say that I am more a computer guy than a phone guy, so let me apologize for my lack of proper telephone vocabulary.

My company has frequent board meetings where at times not all board members can attend. For the individuals that can't, they often call in and listen via speaker phone on a Toshiba phone. This links shows a Toshiba phone that is similar to what we use: http://www.business-....com/dkt30.html

The problem is that when a board member who is present speaks, and they are not within proximity to the speaker phone, the person attending via phone cannot hear them.

My boss wants to look into buying additional microphones and a splitter to amplify everyone's voice so the person attending via phone can hear them.

This seems like alot of money to spend for ONE person who is attending via phone line.

Is there a phone product that I can look into that will amplify the speaker phone reception so this person who can't attend can hear EVERYONE in the room.

Even if we need to purchase a different type of phone might be more economical than purchasing multiple microphones.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

We have used these type phones before and they work way better.
I have been on bothe ends of these phones and they worked excelent.
They are very pricey but they will probably take care of your problem?
