well, here we go again. blame us squirrels for ur lack of preventive maintenance.
u chumpers dont have a clue so u want to blame it on us cause women just luv us and ur jealous. ur all lucky that im not a moderator or administrator here. i would have deleted ur butts from this place, but i had to stop and think that maybe this is the only place that u can vent and make up stories. think about this, if it was not for us squirrels eating into ur cable or transformers or tele lines, u wouldnt be working now, would u?

dont be a hater!

While fixing some cable one day,
A little squirrel came out to play.
Down the span he did run,
to my delight, it was fun....
to flip that rat bastage away.

Squirrel chunking = the most fun you can have without a gun 14_6_7[1].gif

best squirrel chunk; around 1989 fixing an ingress call, two pole drop across a busy street. The retarded squirrel ran above the strand and wouldn't go near the transformer, so it was basically stuck between me and the transformer. Needless to say, it was barking at me like some miniature doberman on helium, he came charging down the pole, took a leap of faith, missed the strand but grabbed ahold of the RG6 aerial drop. Picture Tim Curry in the movie Home Alone (New York) when he figured out the credit card was reported as stolen...you know how he smiled and they cut away to a scene of the grinch? Well that's about what I looked like at that exact moment. devil-smiley-024[1].gif Here is this squirrel hanging on for dear life, trying to paw over paw hanging upside down on this very very flexible drop cable....and me with nothing better to do. I started out making little circles just to see how well he could hold on, to my surprise he was doing pretty good, on a scale of 1 - 10, I was flinging him around at about a 8½, full blown circles for about a good 20 seconds when all the sudden this little tree rat became Rocky the Flying Squirrel, the only problem was he didn't fly to well, and because he was trying to fly over a busy road way.................. well I found three things out that day:
1. Squirrels are lots of fun
2. Squirrels don't fly very good
3. Squirrels make terrible speed bumps

Who'd'a'thunk it? confused-smiley-013[1].gif

I guess I missed the day of training that involved squirrel chunking. What all does it include? Live squirrels, dead squirrels, squirrels you kill? I need something to do to kill time while waiting on rookies to finish what they are doing.

That is a great chunk story TCG... LOL.. You are definitly NOMAS material.. Keep on chunkin bro.. ernaehrung004[1].gif

Hey kong,

Chunkin involves live treerats when you are up on a pole and happen to catch one walking on a span.. You slowly start moving the cable in circular motions until the treerat reaches maximum paw clingability and then you give him one final circle with everything you've got and see how far he can fly... As TCG pionted out, if it is over a busy intersection, the value of the chunk is greater...LOL...
