I had a phone interview last week for a Telco company based in Ontario Canada. It's for telephone and cable home installation/repair. The lady told me it's piece work (by the client) and she couldn't tell me how much roughly it is per customer. Is any of you here does that kind of work? I want to know if it's worth it or not. I have another interview next week but I just want to make sure it's not like $16 $17 per client which probably take over 1:30 for one. They provide a van, tools and a work laptop.

Hello .. I was working up in Edmonton Canada a few months ago. They were paying 45 for a P.O.T.S. install. So much for a NID replacement. 45 for ADSL. You can make good money up there, but beware the cost of living is high. Taxes are high also, you have to get a Canada SS card also. The time you figure the taxes and difference in Canada money to U.S money 1/2 of your PAY IS GONE. I finally got on with Wind Stream Communications. There cable plant up there was very good. If you live in Canada, then it would be nice, but trying to live up there, and pay bills back in the good old USA was a very hard thing too. Try to find something closer to home is what I did. The people were very nice to me while I was there. I did hear few times, that I was up there taking a Canadian JOB thow. Good luck!

What was the name of the company in Ontario? It sounds like piece work for Rogers cable through a third party contractor. Rogers uses like ten different contractors.
